I've worked as a security contractor for the U.S.-led 'Roadmap to Mideast Peace' in Israel and Palestine, and I've worked as a SWAT team leader and a post-9/11 Federal Air Marshal. My master's degree is in Military Studies and terrorism, with a concentration in special operations. I've lectured on topics from school shootings to identifying suicidal terrorists. I served in Iraq with the U.S. Army Reserves (2007-08). I've been Scuba diving in the Red Sea and have eaten Belgium waffles in Brussels. I've trained with members of the U.S. Olympic Ski Team, and have led horseback riding trips in Colorado. I'm a professionally-trained driver, and I've gone free-fall skydiving for fun. I'm a FBI-trained crisis negotiator, and my wife and I now have enough kids to start a basketball team!
